
We have served so many photographers and videographers for the past 21 years. Through those years we have had our fair share of ghosting clients. These are the clients who are fast to reply before the shoot (because they need us) but totally ignore our messages (months over months) when we try to collect. Some treat us like we are a bank you can loan from. Worse, some doesn’t even bother paying.
Recently, some of our regular, old time clients, who has never given us any problem start ghosting us as well. It seems that this doesn’t stop and it doesn’t even differentiate new and old clients.
We have proven to be a reliable supplier in this industry for 21 years. We do not deserve being treated with so much disrespect and rudeness. Now that I have been stricken with cancer, I personally do not see this kind of stress worth taking.
With this, we are now implementing a pay first policy. Booking confirmations will be issued but not receiving a FULL payment before shoot day would cancel your booking. Invoices (for VAT claims) will be issued only on shoot day since invoices cannot be cancelled.
This arrangement will be beneficial for all the parties involved. Think about it, we will never have to bother you right after the shoot and everyone will never have to deal with undue stress.
To thoroughly ensure exact amount of rental/service fee. Please specify total work hours to cover the OT of the crew so everything will be completely setlled.
